Soon after forming we wanted to make sure we could be seen and draw patients attention to our posters and social media handles. One of our talented members created our official brand.
We worked incredibly hard with our medical team and the Trust management but we finally managed to put our case forward on the importance of Not Every Disability is Visible Toilet signs which can now be found around the RLH site
You Said We Did!
Following the questionnaire we ran in the IBD Service a number of patients wanted somewhere cool where they could chill enteral nutrition drinks to make them more paletable. With support from CCUK East London Group we purchased a Fridge for IBD Patients on the Gastro ward.
During the Pandemic we have been working with the IBD team to build high quality telephone clinics based on Patient Feedback. In early 2020 we ran a survey asking what was important to patients, and in late March 2021 we ran a second survey to get patient feedback about the clinics in order to be able to redesign the service and how clinics will run in the future.
Bart's Health Gastroenterology Website Survey
We are working closely with the Gastro team at the Royal London Hospital to update the Gastro and IBD Webpage on the main Bart's Health Website.
We have just completed our latest survey hearing patient views on what content they would like available. A one stop shop for many FAQ and learning about the IBD service at the Royal London and Mile End Hospitals.
The information collected has been passed on to staff who will update the website.

We have worked with the IBD team and Barts Charity to gain funding for 4 new Patient Panel Banners for display around the Royal London and Mile End Hospital.
They are now in Infusions, Paeds Outpatients and Adult Outpatients and one of our original banners is in endoscopy.
